An apse is a threshold; an architectural feature designed to invite one to move beyond.
Founded in 2016 by partners Hayley Boyd and Jarod Faw, all Apse jewelry is lovingly handcrafted using traditional and modern jewelry techniques, as well as solid precious metals and genuine stones, in our studio set between Seattle, WA and Vancouver, BC.
As artists with backgrounds in sculpture and printmaking, our approach to jewelry is intended to celebrate the thresholds we continually move through and the inner alchemy that happens as we say yes to our passage, our partnership, and the legacy we want to leave behind.
Inspired by the natural world and the endless thresholds it presents, these pieces are reminders that treasures are unearthed in the process of moving through your experiences. And, over time, as you move through apse after apse, we hope you discover a jewelry collection that serves as proof of the ways you’ve honored your inner alchemy, loved your people deeply, and bet on your legacy.

EVERY PIECE IS DESIGNED AND INDIVIDUALLY HANDCRAFTED BY US IN OUR BELLINGHAM, WA STUDIO AND SHOWROOM.
OUR PIECES RELY ON ANCIENT AND MODERN JEWELRY FABRICATION TECHNIQUES SUCH AS WAX CARVING, LOST WAX CASTING, SOLDERING, STONE SETTING, CAD RENDERS, 3D PRINTING AND OTHER BENCH JEWELRY FABRICATION PROCESSES.
WE MAKE OUR JEWELRY WITH THE INTENTION TO HONOR THE NUANCE OF THE HUMAN HAND AND EXPERIENCE.

OUR METAL SUPPLIERS ARE VETTED MEMBERS OF THE RESPONSIBLE JEWELRY COUNCIL. OUR METALS ARE SCS GLOBAL SERVICES CERTIFIED 100% RECYCLED CONTENT.
ALL WASTE CREATED IN OUR PRODUCTION IS RECYCLED (THIS IS A STANDARD PRACTICE OF THE JEWELRY INDUSTRY) AND WE OFFER GOLD SCRAP CREDIT TOWARDS YOUR PURCHASE OR PROJECT.

We focus on precious gemstones that the planet has designed to be worn on any occasion and for lifetimes. The most durable and unique gems are our specialty: diamonds, Montana sapphires, rubies, emeralds, and the gems in your family line.
We prioritize small independent miners and gem cutters for their dedication to the mineral and the art of the gemstone.
We use both lab-grown and mined gems and emphasize traceability in our sourcing.
